[arch-ports] Arch64 - call for a website maintainer
Our www.arch64.org website needs a whole rewrite. It should be fit into the www.archlinux.org (32bit) and www.archlinuxppc.org outfit. More features we want too. I've asked our server admin c14n and he told me that we can use almost every program we want for the website. So Joomla, mysql and much more shouldn't be a problem. So feel free to introduce yourself if you're interested. A running Arch64 system is not an absolute must. AndyRTR

well, since we're gonna use the official servers soon, why not just use their site? the web gui for packages could be changed a little to show archs. too. - syamajala
I Agree with syamajala, it would save a lot of work and not make people as confused though if we do this I think we'd need to put a big heading letting people know this isn't offical. On 2/25/06, seshu yamajala <syamajala@gamebox.net> wrote:

We don't know what "soon" is. And for now I need a place to put public informations. Wiki, forum and irc are all no good place for that. The archlinux website is quiet good if you are looking for informations but I like the one from ppc port a bit more. archlinux website looks a bit old-fashioned. I guess with a new server the archlinux website will have a rewrite too. For now we should soon have a simple but often updated website. Later we can discuss about best design. AndyRTR
Just an advise, for forum and wiki try to use the same as archelinux ones otherwise you'll have some trouble when merging site. Regards Arnaud Fortier Andreas Radke a écrit :

Port specific information (install guides, hardware requirements) could be on a completely different site. But wouldn't it be nicer to have package information on the regular Archlinux.org? Just like Gentoo (and probably many other distributions) has? On 2/27/06, Arnaud Fortier <arnaud.fortier@free.fr> wrote:
