[arch-ports] [ppc] Announcement: core move completed
The [core] transition is finally done. A pacman update will add /etc/pacman.d/core, please change all references to "current" in /etc/pacman.conf to "core to receive future updates. You are not forced to upgrade immediately as the [current] repo will stay for some time to provide some backwards compatibility, but it will only contain pacman, libarchive and libdownload. There's a new ISO supporting the core repo available from ftp://ftp.archlinuxppc.org/iso/releases. A note to the devs: don't forget to rename your ~/staging/current dir to ~/staging/core -Armin
Hi Armin: So what general changes need to be made to the repodiff/cvs scripts? Anything, or can I just run repodiff to re-checkout everything? Zac On Sep 28, 2007, at 3:17 PM, Armin Luntzer wrote:

See my homedir on bob for the updated repodiff script. The new CVSROOT for [core] is /home/cvs-core, the devtools package has been updated, run corepkg to commit/upload your builds. -Armin
Hi, I'm noticing that 'makepkg -r -s' isn't syncing deps properly and it seems as though the essential build tools aren't getting installed when makeroot is called (like 'autoconf'). I'll investigate further this weekend as I haven't much time right now to bother with it. Zac On Oct 8, 2007, at 3:23 AM, Armin Luntzer wrote:

I don't have time to check this atm, but I'm pretty sure this is caused by quickinst not installing the base-devel group. You can fix it by adding this group to the line somewhere to the end of the script that says pacman -Sy base -Armin
