Hey hey,
I try to clean up my system and wanted to uninstall qtractor, which I can't do
since it supplies dssi-host. Why is this necessary, when the dssi package
supplies jack-dssi-host? Is there a workaround?

The 'dssi'  package should probably also provide 'dssi-host'. It hasn't
been updated for a while, so the last update probably pre-dates the
introduction of this provides.

You could report this as a bug via the link on the package's page:
