I forgot to CC arch-projects, but this might be interesting for all devtools contributors. Given that Pierre seems to be kind of swamped the last couple of weeks, I created a convenience branch where I merge all patches that I consider to be ready for master (just to simplify Pierre's job and hopefully speed things up a bit). Hi, Pierre!
Once again... Time for the occasional poke :)
Note that there have been another dozen of patches to devtools that need to be reviewed and commented on or pushed. I already glanced at Jan's (heftig's) patches on GitHub [1], discussed his patch set on #archlinux-tu and he did some polishing. They basically look fine to me now.
Thomas (td123) added two patches to a Flyspray ticket [2] that I reviewed as well.
I also have about 10 patches in my wip-wip branch that I didn't even submit to arch-projects yet since they're based on my pending patches that haven't been pushed yet and I want to avoid repeated rebasing and resubmission.
If you need someone to help out, I mentioned on #archlinux-tu a couple of times that I can setup a "for-pierre" convenience branch on my working repository, will review patches on arch-projects, as well as the bug tracker and merge everything I consider as suitable for mainline inclusion. That way, you wouldn't have to review stuff on all the different places.
I just created such a branch that contains all patches from arch-projects [1]. I had to rebase almost all of them to apply (due to my "Support non-standard install locations" patch changing the naming scheme).
I'd even gladly apply as a new devtools maintainer if you feel like you don't have enough time to keep maintaining it. Just to make clear that we do not lack volunteers to step in. I neither want to be offensive nor pushy here but an inactive maintainer sadly slows down development :/
Anyway, hope to hear from you soon!
Cheers, Lukas
