They mount or extract the ISO, same as we do. I don't quite understand what your question is.
okay, in that case, yes it's fine to do it in the releng environment.
Gerardo posted a very short command above (slightly modified by me): $ bsdtar -x --exclude=arch/boot/syslinux --exclude memtest* -f archlinux-$date-netinstall-dual.iso arch/ This is all we need.
