Could you argue why you want to add such an ide to the live system? I think we should start to be more careful here. We increased the iso size from 306 MB to 492 MB already. We already have several more simple text editors available. And if people need that much functionality to edit some cofnig files they still can install it during the live session. Please look on arch-dev-public. Looks like people want to get rid of vi and since we need a replacement for the live cd recommended vim. Further discussion should probably be on -dev-public.
