[arch-releng] 2013.09.01 ISO uploaded
Hi, I uploaded the install imago for September. Noting exciting, just new packages. The only issue I know about is that the kernel will panic for certain wireless chips (at least a lot of Broadcom's are affected). I also uploaded the bootstrap tars. We should really document these. And nobody cares. Here is the solution that works for anybody so far: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/36539#comment113513 Fixed binay packages are here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1318851#p1318851 -- main(a){char*c=/* Schoene Gruesse */"B?IJj;MEH" "CX:;",b;for(a/* Chris get my mail address: */=0;b=c[a++];) putchar(b-1/(/* gcc -o sig sig.c && ./sig */b/42*2-3)*42);}

Just to let you know: a fix (or rather workaround) is making its way through the proper channels and will hopefully land in mainland and then a stable kernel soon. I have been tracking it upstream and will make sure it won't get lost.

Ok, good to know someone is tracking this. Though I still do not understand why the default kernel has patch for logitech mice, but people with hard kernel panic with broadcom wifi are left alone. Don't get me wrong... I do link the idea of shipping package unmodified from upstream. Sometimes there should be exceptions though. -- main(a){char*c=/* Schoene Gruesse */"B?IJj;MEH" "CX:;",b;for(a/* Chris get my mail address: */=0;b=c[a++];) putchar(b-1/(/* gcc -o sig sig.c && ./sig */b/42*2-3)*42);}

For anybody interested... The fix has been merged in Linus' tree and will be in 3.11: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=2... -- main(a){char*c=/* Schoene Gruesse */"B?IJj;MEH" "CX:;",b;for(a/* Chris get my mail address: */=0;b=c[a++];) putchar(b-1/(/* gcc -o sig sig.c && ./sig */b/42*2-3)*42);}
