[arch-releng] Split of isos
Hi, This is just a suggestion but why not go back to two isos (i686/x86_64)? It would make iso quicker to download and easier to build. MrG

MrG I like the current format, I can carry an Arch LiveCD with me and boot it on anything. Makes maintenance/debugging really easy when you have hundreds of machines (running a mix of i686 and x86_64, BIOS and UEFI).

What would be the benefit besides reduced download size if you only need one arch? One ISO is easier to maintain, build, test and the torrents are more practical. The image size is growing every month though; I have some ideas about this, but nothing implemented so far (there are quite a lot duplicated files). -- Pierre Schmitz, https://pierre-schmitz.com

I recently tested how much simply putting both arches into one fs and then hardlinking files saves: from 450mb for both arches to 340ish. I didn't write any code though, just copied everything into one fs, hardlinked files with hardlink from community and compressed.
