No, this is not correct.

Hmm... these packages in [testing] should be updated as a group: filesystem 2009.07-1 initscripts 2009.07-3 syslog-ng 3.0.3-2 udev 141-5

So just iniscripts is probably bad. Then again, grep is not in [testing] so maybe that is an old note!

We use a modified initscripts package with only the rc.shutdown hwclock patch in. First we tried a set of isos with tetsing package and wonder why root could not login ;-) Then we saw why...
