Hello! I think it would be nice if the AUR package details site can show the voters for a package, like in case of bugs.archlinux.org operation. E.g. [aur-dev] Json interface extension with Maintainer/Submitter searching

Hello! I think it would be a good feature to extend the rpc.php/json interface to be able to search according to the 'SeB' option, for Maintainer and Submitter users. With a frontend program to the AUR site to search for packages from a concrete maintainer/submitter, if I know well, an output html parsing is needed which is harder than parsing such a form like the output of rpc.php with searching and the desired arg now. [aur-dev] Step back after deleting a comment

Hello! Would it be better if user don't get 'Comment has been deleted.' message on a new page, when she/he tries to delete her/his comment on the given package details page, just reload the original page with the deleted comment (+feedback message maybe), like in case of other actions? The other idea if the previous is nonsense to take a 'back' or 'go to the package' button on the 'Comment has been deleted.' page, which would give back the refreshed package details contents, because I need to go back and refresh manually at this momment. The following patch adds the Orphan field to the aurjson output. For username we would need to hit the database once more (maybe, have to think more SQL for that), but the Orphan-ness is quite straightforward to evaluate. So let's just do that first. This patch, however, might clash with one patch I sent in a few days ago [1], since that one hasn't been applied to the repo, yet. Anyway, neither of those are hard to see where they should go... Currently AUR does not check the uploaded packages, whether they are correctly in UTF8 encoding. If there are fields (such as $pkgdesc) that contain such non-UTF8 characters, the rpc interface chokes on those fields: even if there's data successfully retrieved from the database, rpc returns "null". In an effort to make such errors in the PKGBUILDs debugged more easily, let's force rpc to have more useful output: try to convert non-UTF8 fields to UTF8. If it's a success, good. Partial success (some characters showing as \uXXXX) is ok. Failure results in error message printed to that field. [aur-dev] [PATCH] Hungarian translation

Hi, I just noticed a commit in AUR adding Hungarian translation ( 56990b3748df8ed3a38b6f2566ab297902749942 ) Is there any reason why it wasn't sent to the mailing list first? (Or did I just miss it?) The reason I'm asking is that I think there are a few problems with it. The major issue is that the translation omits all the accents we have in the Hungarian language. Thus it is not really "Hungarian", but a "Hungarian typing on an English keyboard". It's acceptable when writing emails, but there's no reason whatsoever to have it on a website. Also, there were a number of mistranslations. Lastly, almost all periods were missing at the end of sentences which had periods in the original version. This is minor, I know, but again, there's no hurry, one can punctuate properly for a website. So I attach a fixed version. Checked a few times, but I don't claim it does not have any translation issues. If there are other Hungarians on the list to comment on it, I'd be glad to hear. Cheers, Greg

[aur-dev] Putting php 5.3 into [testing]?

Hi all, are thee any big rebuilds planned? Otherwise I would like to put version 5.3 of PHP into testing. There is still an issue with suhosin but this way people would have more time to check their scripts. We should also make sure that our Scripts (like AUR) work with the new PHP version. I could help here if there are problems. The good thing is that we don't provide packages with php scripts; so from our side everything is fine. ;-) But seriously: this version has great potential to break lots of especially very old PHP scripts.
