[aur-dev] [PATCH] FS#3542 - auto redirect from confirmation screens

Hi, this patch is adding meta refresh tag and a link back to the package page from the screens that confirm comment deletion and change of package category. The link is displayed always, but the autoredirection is done only when the action was sucessfull. This allows user to read or note down a possible error output in case of failure. The delay for refresh is set to 5 seconds, but that can be discussed. I've made a new updated el_GR.po translation, since I found out that some strings need updating. I have uploaded the patch, please inform me if there is any problem in the text format. Question: The main text in the aur mainpage: * "Welcome to the AUR! [aur-dev] Proposing development site of AUR

Hi, I think we should setup dev site for aur development on a seprate url like(aur-dev.archlinux.org). it won't be for normal users, just for people interested in aur development. aur-dev would help us testing latest patches. this dev site would run on master branch of aur.git repo. The advantage: We can make changes without fear of breaking something for all users of aur. I am willing to setup this up and also provide hosting on my VPS, if needed. So, what you think? Loui, Could you share your plans about future AUR updates? I realize that you are probably very busy, have a lot of stuff going on and that maintaining an open source project is a part-time job that you don't get paid for. However, I wish you could be more open about the process. There's really nothing more disappointing than to be told that your patch is good, but it doesn't find it's way upstream. Denis.

[aur-dev] Patch: German translation and CSS fixes

Hello AUR developers, appended is a patch that fixes some bugs in the german translation. There is also a patch that makes the Search-Form-buttons use a variable width to enable the german translation for "Orphans" ("Verwaiste Pakete") to actually fit in there. As I have no idea how to get the AUR-software running, I did not test this changes. It would be nice if one of you could apply, test and push my patches. I understand aur is written in PHP and I know basic php, so think should be good to start off and learn more while code. I have installed AUR on localhost. Now figuring out to move forward with this. Shouldn't the translation tool add the missing strings automatically ? NEW attachment with the missing strings (both of the patches provided, in the previous mail and this one, should be applied).

[aur-dev] Can I please get a dump of the pkgbuilds in AUR?

I know this has come up before with issues about scraping the files in AUR but this is a different question. Is it possible to get a dump of all the files in AUR, don't ask for what reason I need them[1]. This would only be a one-time thing from then on I can sync via rss with no problem. [1] My only answer will be that the descriptions in AUR are pretty bad and the search is almost useless if you don't know the name of a pkg you want to search for.
