Greetings Comrades, Here are two packages that need to be removed from the AUR by a TU because the original contributors have not done so: 1) wine0959 - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16364 This is simply wine from [extra] with the pkgver changed to the latest stable wine release. Obviously against AUR Guidelines. 2) full-urbanterror - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?do_Details&ID=16430 I think the user may have been a little confused- The URL to download the source for the quake3-urbanterror PKGBUILD was a 404, so the user changed the URL and uploaded a new PKGBUILD instead of just leaving a comment for me to fix it :P ( quake3-urbanterror: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=6873 ) Thanks, Slash

Hi, Seems like the guy who made the webkitgtk-svn package no longer fixes it - it hasn't worked for weeks now because they changed their build system. If a TU please could orphan that package it would be great! Anders

[aur-general] Orphans packages in community

Hi ML, there are many orphans packages into community repository. Their aren't necessary at others community's packages and I think they can be moved to unsupported. I want to know if someone is interested at these packages before I'll move they to unsupported. [aur-general] out of date flagging

Could someone confirm my observation that the aur does not reset out of date flags on packages when they are updated? Maybe it's just on packages that I've flagged myself then adopted. I don't update enough stuff to know. If this is the intended behavior, I would expect that resetting out of date flags on updates is the most reasonable thing to do.

Hi there, I'm new to AUR, and I've just assumed my first package. The original package doesn't come with a .desktop file. So I've created my own on alacarte, and modified to use it on my packeg. The problem is app's icon shows in "other" group, and not in "audio & video". Where can I find a tutorial on categories? Thanks. I need some help and ideas, because the new Flashplugin 9.0.124.0 comes with DRM. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16293 Is it legal, if we crack it and build a DRM free Flashplugin? -- Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
