Please orhpan "libinklevel" [1]. It's marked as out-of-date, and there is a pkgbuild for the latest version in comments, but maintainer doesn't respond. This package is required by "ink" which I want to update. [1] http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23757

Can a TU delete liferea-minimal . It depends on gtkhtml2 backend . Newer releases only offer webkit as a backend .

[aur-general] Should {libwebkit,libsoup}-newest be deleted

hi, As you might already know , webkit-gtk and its dependency libsoup are always under heavy development . I added {libwebkit,libsoup}-newest PKGBUILDS to the AUR because libwebkit releases started to depend on development releases from libsoup(2.27.x) . With gnome 2.28.x entering extra , the *-newest packages provide the same versions available in the official repos. Should I ask for the deletion of those packages ? Or keep them around in case webkit starts to depend on libsoup 2.29.x ?

[aur-general] AUR "Jamie" account

A user by the name of "Jamie" on the forum wants an AUR account with the same name: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=81872 The problem is that the account is already taken but whoever owns it has never used it to upload a package or vote. If it were up to me alone, I would try to contact the owner of the account and either request that (s)he give it up if I get a response or simply switch it over otherwise. My reasoning is that it makes more sense to have the same name on the forum and the AUR (and everything else with a separate account) because it makes it easy to know who's who, which has implications for the AUR. What do the other TUs (and interested devs) think? I think this is a rare enough event to not have to worry about a flood of requests to grab matching names on the AUR. Btw, in case you're wondering, Jamie tried to post a message to the list following my suggestion on the forum but it apparently didn't get through so he asked me to do it, hence this message. [aur-general] Request for removal (gnome-bluetooth-svn, obexd-client)

Hello, The following packages can now be removed: 1. gnome-bluetooth-svn (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=27134) Gnome has migrated to GIT, and the SVN is not updated anymore. 2. obexd-client (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=28046) This is now a duplicate of the obexd package in extra since the one in extra is also compiled with --disable-server flag. Hi all, I'd like to re-apply to my TU position. Since I've resigned [0], many things happened, in my life, and work. In these times I was very dissapointed about myself, cause I was having problems to handle my life, my projects, and of course, Arch, then I decided to go on with less workload at least. Now, I have free time again to dedicate it to the community and the project, and my goals this time are more specific from my first application [1], this time I'd like to: a) Improve and support the python and haskell scene since I am enthusiastic of these languages b) To help others TU, or Devs (with the permission of them), to reduce their loads on community doing tests, maintaining, updating or just simply building their packages in the differents architectures (I have i686 and x86_64 but now I am using x86_64) c) Report, and close bugs from me and others TU or Devs (away or with highly load), of course with the permission of them. d) Maintain and collaborate with the Arch Project in general, writting in the wiki, random coding, etc. I talked with Evangelos Foutras a.k.a foutrelis to ask him if he would like to be my sponsor, and he accepted, so since I knew many of you when I was a TU, I hope you will recognize my skills and my dedication on this project, and even when I wasn't active (as a TU) I ever tried to be helping with the distro, and I always try to do my best overall.
