Hi, the package tor in the extra repository (http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/tor/) has no maintainer at the moment. Next to that there are two security vulnerabilities in that version in extra at the moment. Can you move it to AUR so I can maintain it? greetings

I packaged wordpressmu (badly) a few months ago, and recently rebuilt it properly as wordpress-mu, is there a way to delete the old wordpressmu package that is replaced by wordpress-mu? Thanks M

The new CVS setup uses ssh, so you will need a shell account. Please email me your ssh public key to set that up. For dealing with CVS please follow these instructions: Set CVS_RSH in your shell export CVS_RSH=ssh Update your CVSROOT settings to :ext:USER@aur.archlinux.org:/srv/cvs/community Where USER is your ssh login name. The quick way of changing your CVSROOT cd to directory with community checkout: find -name Root -exec sed -i 's/^:pserver.*/:ext:USER@archlinux.org:/srv/cvs/community/' {} \; It's preferred to edit your current checkout rather than making a new one, to reduce server load. Please remove this package (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=26319). I have no intention of supporting it as the upstream author makes it available as a VBA. [aur-general] automatic package creation from pypi

Quite a while back, the idea of automatically creating PKGBUILDs from pypi came up: http://www.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-general/2008-August/002099.html It'd be really cool if we could get something similar to cabal2arch for PyPI. Checking the PyPiXmlRpc [1] page does not show any field for listing dependencies of the package though. Is there any way of getting the dependencies of a python module programmatically? [aur-general] The AUR move semi complete

The web site is running and users can interact with the AUR in most of the usual ways. Mail still needs to be set up properly so notifications aren't working right now. I'll also need some more time for setting up community. Syncing the whole repo is taking longer than anticipated.

The AUR has been up for how many years, and I haven't even *heard* of a malicious package.
