These all need to be rebuilt for community-cleanup, but nothing depends on them. * cxxtest (last rebuild in February of 2006) * hal-cups-utils (last rebuild in September of 2007) * jump-project and jump-roadmatcher (last rebuild in November of 2006) (jump-roadmatcher is the only thing that depends on jump-project, and nothing depends on jump-roadmatcher.) * libcgi (last rebuilt in June of 2006) * liboop and nepim (These move as a unit. nepim is the only package which depends on liboop, and nothing depends on nepim). * live-f1 (Package is also out-of-date.) * magickthumbnail (last rebuild in October 2006) * mime-editor (last rebuild in October 2006) * pypanel * python-certtool * python-constraint * python-mechanize * python-pyparallel * python-pyserial *python-clientform (python-mechanize is the only package that depends on it. If python-mechanize goes, this one can go too.) -- Chris

[aur-general] move ruby-mpd to [unsupported]?

The latest upstream release was made in 2006, and the package hasn't been rebuilt since then. It is orphaned, and it needs a rebuild for community cleanup. No other package depends on it. Any objections to moving ruby-mpd from [community] to [unsupported]? -- Chris

I don't think there is going to be any luck with the kalsamix http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=10611 package. I looked at gentoo's package site, like somebody mentioned to check for a patch and nothing. Unless somebody knows how to program, then it is currently going to be broken. Thanks

[aur-general] AUR and deb or other precompiled stuff

in some recent updates of some packages you see more and more deb's or rpms or whatever being extracted and repacked for arch is there some aur guideline about this, i really don't like this development because why not take advantage of our bleeding edge gcc power if the source is there, why not build from it? in cases like opera it is understandable because it is not open source, but in some other cases like kalsamix i find it very disturbing maybe some other comments about this ?

I am going to adopt kalsamix http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=10611 and update it, kamix http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=9907 is orphaned and the homepage listed says kamix is discontinued, then it says like to checkout the newest package kalsamix.

I found the package indigo at http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=17007 The homepage seems to say that it is a trial. In my opinion we shouldn't have trial software packaged. Though I could be wrong, thought I'd report this and see if trial software should be put in AUR
