gnome-mail-notification http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32363 seems to be the same as mail-notification http://repos.archlinux.org/wsvn/packages/mail-notification/trunk/ the only difference I noticed is that it doesn't have patches included in the official repo, doesn't seem to enable/disable any options. What is the best way to resolve conflicting files in aur packages? I've run into this issue a couple times recently, first of all with "panda3d-cvs" and "cuda-toolkit" both contained the file /usr/bin/bin2c The result was the panda3d-cvs maintainer just removed the file since he said it wasn't doing anything anyway. Now I've run into a similar problem but this time the maintainer fixed it a different way and it broke my package. opencl-headers http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35367 has 3 files which are also provided by nvidia-utils So now to fix it the maintainer of opencl-headers has added conflicts=(nvidia-utils) to his package. But my problem is that I recently made a package (luxrays-hg) which depends=('nvidia-utils') and also makedepends=('opencl-headers') So my package (luxrays-hg) will no longer install because 2 of its decencies (opencl-headers & nvidia-utils) are in conflict. [aur-general] multilib

I installed the x86_64 version of Arch, and I was looking at the wiki on running 32-bit apps in a 64-bit environment which seems what the multilib project/repo does. Though If I try and do pacman -S gcc-multilib gcc-libs-multilib binutils-multilib libtool-multilib lib32-glibc. Pacman gives me that binutils and binutils-multilib conflict. Do I let multilib's version replace it? Mainly I want to build i686/x86_64 packages and make sure they work fine on both architectures as well, maybe with running a few 32-bit only applications if I come across them. Thanks

Hello, the package rabbitmq is quite old in AUR. The current Maintainer p2k does not answer on mails or comments. I have an up2date rabbitmq PKGBUILD here with some fixes (rabbitmq as system user instead of a normal user). Can i become maintainer permissions on this package? I lost all the data on my laptop to an unclean shutdown yesterday. I'm afraid I can't maintain my packages until I've completed recovering what I can (if anything) and I'm done setting up a new system.

Please delete line6usb (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15333), since it's now in the mainstream kernel (/lib/modules/2.6.35-ARCH/kernel/drivers/staging/line6/line6usb.ko). [aur-general] Question about patches in [community]

Hi everyone, I have a few popular packages I would be interested in moving to and maintaining in [community]. However, I recall reading somewhere that AUR software that includes a patch is typically not accepted in community until the upstream developers fix/merge the patches into the software and release it. Is this correct, or am I being misled? Thanks, Brad
