Hi all, could you please remove my old package warzone2100-beta [ http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=33892]? Upstream doesn't do betas anymore, and there is a package in community. BTW also vdpau [http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=24337] has been replaced by extra/libvdpau, you should remove it. Thank you

Hi, Given the recent wave of TU applications, I think it might be a good idea to amend the TU Bylaws regarding quorum for addition of a TU. The section currently contains the following specification: > Following the announcement, standard voting procedure commences with a > discussion period of 5 days, a quorum of 66%, and a voting period of 7 days. This would prevent ambiguity and possible arguments regarding the establishment of quorum. Considering how lax we seem to be when it comes to the bylaws, I doubt it would ever really be an issue, but an extra line to clarify wouldn't hurt either, plus it would provide clear logic if we ever encode the members list and tie it to the voting interface (you know, when we're all downloading the signed Duke Nukem Forever package via pacman on Hurd). Will somebody delete grdc http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23191When you click on the link for the package it states that the project has been renamed to Remmina and it redirects you to http://remmina.sourceforge.net/ It seems there are already Reminna packages Thanks

[aur-general] PKGBUILD/AUR help

I'm trying to enhance the PKGBUILD of kernel26-pf to detect the cpu-specific .config option and automatically add it to the generated package and its description, by tweaking the $PKGEXT and $pkgdesc variables. Example: an amd64-k8 optimized kernel would be packaged as kernel26-pf-2.6.35-pf7-k8.pkg.tar.xz. The PKGBUILD I've created (see http://pastebin.ca/1931033 - relevant lines 96-138) builds and creates the package just fine using makepkg, but submission of the source package to AUR fails. I know that $PKGEXT perhaps shouldn't be tampered with, but I'm open to suggestions.

What should I do about software that won't work, not due to the fact about how it is packaged, but badly coded? I am finding some packages of mine that won't compile or run and the author(programmer) doesn't seem to be active anymore

Hi, I just remembered that I wrote a PKGBUILD for a perl program a while ago but never made it available to others. I know nothing about perl, so I'm looking for advice. It did build, install and apparently work, but spits a whole lot of errors now. I don't have the slightest idea how to figure out what's wrong now. I had to write PKGBUILDs for a bunch of the dependencies as well, and used CPANPLUS to do that. Thanks to a hint from a fellow archer I noticed that a bunch of those are already provided by the perl package itself.
