[aur-general] JBoss packages

There is 5 different packages on AUR: jboss-web [1] : version 2.1.9 jboss [2] : version 5.1.0 jboss4 [3] : version 4.2.3 jboss6 [4] : version 6.0.0 jboss7 [5] : version 7.0.1 While I may understand the need for older versions in some case (is there?), the naming scheme make little sense to me. Why jboss [2] is not the latest version (ie 7) ? jboss-web [1] does not seems right either. What do you think ? pylast(https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=21758) has been replaced by python-pylast (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=45128) and python2-pylast (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=45119) facebook-google-sync (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=34330) is a dead project that no longer functions due to facebook updates. It's a sh & curl script that could potentially be rewritten. The script is included in the src archive. Gadget3000

john-latest (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38152) was created to either update [community] or include a patch which is now included in [community] anyway. It's just been orphaned. [aur-general] Removal requests: AUFS packages cleanup

Hello, As of the release of AUFS3, these packages need to be removed (they are orphaned, or mine): aufs2 https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=49766 aufs2-all https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38249 aufs2-ck https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=37345 aufs2-util https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=49767 aufs2-util-git https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=26252 kernel26-aufs_friendly https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=49927 The new packages are: aufs3, aufs3-util, linux-aufs_friendly. qtiplot-newest (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=47810) simply intends to update versions numbers quicker than the repository. I'm not sure what the rules are surrounding this situation. uqm-new (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=51672) has similar intentions. libmowgli-new (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=47375) does the same thing and is currently orphaned. libdrm-newest https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=22973 does the same thing and is actively maintained. libksba-latest (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=50960) did the same thing but "Libksba 1.2 is now in [Extra]. This package is no longer required." and has subsequently been orphaned. tremulous-updated (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=21426) does/did the same thing (the tremelous project hasn't been updated since 2009). libdvdnav-new (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=17355) does/did the same thing (the project hasn't been updated since 2008). telepathy-glib-newest (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=50140) also does this. It is currently orphaned. The submitter says in the comments: "This package will be needed until telepathy-glib on extra is updated to 0.15.1." lyx-newest (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=48936) looks like it does the same thing but has changed a few couple flags in the process. I'll edit the original duplicates list once these packages have been processed by a TU. acnchess-svn (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32470). Project now uses git. An acnchess-git package does not yet exist but acnchess-svn only has 2 votes anyway and acnchess does exist. vulturesclaw (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=14157) and vultureseye (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=520) have both been replaced by vulture-nethack (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=48815) due to project name changes (Source: http://www.darkarts.co.za/vulture/about )
