[aur-general] disowning a couple of packages

Hi, I'm disowning sage-mathematics, sage-mathematics-spkgs(optdepends for sage-mathematics), fityk, and xylib(dependency for fityk). I will move them to the aur in a week if no TU adopts them in community. If you plan on adopting sage-mathematics, you should know that it is currently unbuildable on archlinux, and some other newer distros due to how it is built. It is currently out of date, and you wont be able to update it without fixing this. http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/10572 (13 month old bug without recent comments) http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/11391 (9 month old bug I filed without a sign of activity) If you plan on adopting fityk, note that it needs a development version of wxwidgets which I statically build in the same PKGBUILD. [aur-general] Merge request: teamspeak/teamspeak3

'Lo all. I'd like to request the merging of teamspeak3[1] and teamspeak[2]. teamspeak3 is by far the older of the two, and both of them seem to not have updated to 3.0.8.1. (I'm using teamspeak3 which definitely hasn't.) teamspeak's PKGBUILD carries a lot of similarities with the one from teamspeak3. A few more than I would think is co-incidental. However, I do think the "teamspeak" namespace is more fitting, as it is the latest version of "TeamSpeak", and if people still need v3 when version 4 comes around, they can always fork it out and make a (new) teamspeak3. But I'm really pretty indifferent about this. Additionally, the maintainer of teamspeak3 appears to have gone AWOL. I've sent them an e-mail just today, so I'll wait another two weeks to request orphaning it, but as you can tell, there have been comments asking about it for some time. [aur-general] Anybody interested in maintaining courier stuff in [community]?

I recently changed away from using courier but as they are server packages they need close maintenance because they are critical to some people. I wondered whether any TU would like to take them over? I will maintain them for some time to come but I might eventually drop them if they don't get a new TU that actually uses them too.

[aur-general] Random (?) out-of-date marking

My package mcobj [1] has been repeatedly been marked out of date 580 times in 10 minutes, with 61 out-of-date marks per minute (picture for proof [2]). Checking through the email, I saw that the user that was doing this was named invented [3]. I'm not really sure what's going on, particularly whether this is malicious or not. I have emailed invented, and am posting this to try to get to the bottom of this. Has invented (or have other users) done this before? [aur-general] psad package probably orphaned

Hi, First of all sorry for all the mess I may do with this mail but it's my first message to this group. Some time ago I found that psad package in AUR is out of date (version in AUR 2.1.7, current version 2.2). On 19 Jun 2012 I posted a comment hoping maintainer will notice it, however no reaction. Then I flagged the package as out of date (13 Jul 2012), still no reaction. After a long time of waiting I mailed the maintainer (24 Sep 2012) if he's planning to update the package because if not I could take the maintanance over. Until now I recieved no answer. Here's my question. Can some TU orphan the package so I can take care of it? I mean update and maintain later. Peace, xartii
