[aur-general] brz pkgver() problem when updating on existing bzr repo

As I updated the PKGBUILD for he new autobump feature I observed the following problem on my https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/anamnesis-bzr package: When I run makepkg the first time, the bzr repo gets fetched, all ok. However running makepkg the second time gives the following error: ==> ERROR: /Common/Builds/aur/anamnesis-bzr/anamnesis is not a branch of bzr://anamnesis.bzr.sourceforge.net/bzrroot/anamnesis I don't know much about bzr, so I don't know what this error means. Can you help me please, is this a problem with the bzr url format, or a bug in makepkg or something else?

[aur-general] XFlux Ownership

Hi, I'm the previous maintainer of the xflux package ( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xflux/). Over the past 24 hours someone else has become the maintainer of the package but I'm confused as to how because I never gave up "ownership" of it. Before I go on I just want to clarify that I'm not so bothered about getting the package back so much as understanding how someone else now maintains the package without my knowledge (I only found out after doing a system, update an seeing that that package got updated even though I didn't update the version number). Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the only way a maintainer can be forced to give up a package is if someone sends an email to the maintainer, asking them to update the package and the maintainer does not respond (either by email or by updating the package). I received an email yesterday (8th March) asking me to update the package, because it didn't build since the makepkg update, and I updated the package. Even if I hadn't updated it, it had been less than 24 hours since I even got the message so I don't understand why someone else has now taken over the package. So my question is does anyone know how I lost the package? Thanks, Gadget3000

The cvs-repo is abandoned. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/auctex-cvs/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/auctex-git/ Please delete https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cyclone-cvs/ The project uses subversion upstream, but seems to be dead since 2006. if it is possible, keep vlc-dev and remove vlc-ncurses. vlc ncurses is using git version and no longer needed. Thanks.

Thanks for all suggestions! I had an old git tree in the build dir which prevented a build. Though, I managed a successful build without reading any of your comments (and not knowing why it failed before) 'cause every reply went into my 'Sent Mail' folder not showing up in 'Inbox' - never had it before :( Only found your replies when already updated AUR Is it save to update/change the version scheme on AUR without going with epoch? rtf
