Hi, I just disowned the following packages because I don't use them anymore: ---------- * deluge-git-master master git brach of the deluge torrent client * diylc diy-layout-creator, a electronic schematic, layout and guitar wiring diagram editor * drg2sbg / drg2sbg-git Tool to convert I-Doser .drg files to .sbg's. * python-bottle-sqlalchemy SQLAlchemy integration for Bottle. * python-flup-hg / python2-flup-hg WSGI server for Python * python-oursql MySQL bindings for python. * python-quick2wire-git Python API for controlling GPIO and I2C devices connected to the Raspberry Pi * python2-autobahn WebSocket client & server library, WAMP real-time framework * python2-websocket-client-pebble Older version of a websocket client library - used to be for the Pebble SDK, but now still used as a dependency to 'fig' ("Fast, isolated development environments using Docker") * soem-examples / soem-lib Simple Open EtherCAT Master ---------- They all should still work fine (though I didn't verify this claim), but I don't want them anymore, so please take them if you use them! [aur-general] AUR 4 => Migrating 1 git to git-per-package

For those of us already storing our packages in git[0], has anyone got some documentation/pointers for how to handle migrating from having 1 big git repository to dozens of individual git repositories? Do we just blat away our current repository and re-initialize each package as it's own repository or is there a smarter way? [0] https://github.com/fukawi2/aur-packages

Hi, Would anyone be so nice as to review my libgroove package? The current package [1] and proposed package [2] are both on GitHub. The package is for a C library, and I am hoping to add a pkg-config config file (libgroove.pc) to the package. I've never written one of these before, and am worried about accidentally trashing users' systems. Resetting the pkgrel is indeed wrong. pkgrel should be bumped when moving to [community], and that has been my habit when moving packages from the AUR.

[aur-general] AUR 4.0 and existing git repositories

Hi, I've been reading about the upcoming AUR 4.0 with git repositories for each package (which is very much welcome for a variety of reasons!). I'm curious how existing packages will be handled. I already keep git repos for my packages, so it would be nice to be able to import those directly for two reasons: * To share the existing history with everyone else. * If packages are imported as-are into new repositories, then I can't push the existing repos. I'll need to create clone the AUR-generated ones, and work on those, loosing all my history. Has this sort of scenario been given any thought? Regarding to my AUR cache [1], it seems to be common practise, that packages that moved from AUR to community get a lower "pkgrel="-value. IMO that is very annoying and doesn't make sense. I don't want to reinstall software that does work and I dislike to get tons of warnings. Why is this the common approach? Regards, Ralf PS: I'll send it to Arch and AUR general.
