Hi, I just migrated my packages to AUR4 and thought I'd share some notes I did during the process. After a quick try I didn't use any script as I wanted to see what's going on and do some manual corrections. This is too terse for the wiki I think, but maybe it helps someone. The starting point was one repo with subfolders for the packages. Contrary to some scripts, I actually split the repo into different *repos* before uploading, so I could rebase and correct issues. Get the old repo: $ cd ~/aur4 $ git clone ... old-repo $ cd old-repo Get a list of packages (which can be edited by hand if there are non-package folders): $ for pkg in */; do p=${pkg%/}; echo "$p"; done > ../pkgs Split out packages to an aur4/pkgname ref: $ while read p; do git subtree split --prefix="$p" -b "aur4/$p"; done < ../pkgs Clone each package into a new repo: $ cd ~/aur4 $ mkdir new-repos $ cd new-repos $ while read p; do git clone --branch="aur4/$p" ../old-repo "$p"; done < ../pkgs Set the master branch correctly and clean up leftovers: $ while read p; do (cd "$p"; git checkout master; git reset --hard "aur4/$p"; git branch -D "aur4/$p"; git remote rm origin; git gc --prune=0); done < ../pkgs Generate .SRCINFO for all packages: $ while read p; do git -C "$p" filter-branch -f --tree-filter "test -f .SRCINFO || mksrcinfo"; done < ../pkgs Setup all repos: $ while read p; do ssh aur(a)aur4.archlinux.org setup-repo "$p"; done < ../pkgs Add the origin remote and set upstream branch: $ while read p; do git -C "$p" remote add origin "ssh+git://aur@aur4.archlinux.org/$p.git"; git -C "$p" branch --set-upstream origin; done < ../pkgs After that, I changed into each repo, reviewed the history, did git rebase -i --root as necessary and pushed via git push. [aur-general] Can't clone my aur4 git repo: git-upload-pack: invalid path: zbackup.git

Hi there, I'm trying to port the (one) package I'm maintaining over to AUR4 as per the instructions in the wiki. I have successfully created a new keypair and uploaded the public part to my account. I have also created a new Host entry in my .ssh/config (so that I can access my alternative ssh-key. -------------------- Host aur HostName aur4.archlinux.org User aur IdentityFile /home/hazzl/.ssh/aur_rsa IdentitiesOnly yes --------------------- I can now run $ ssh aur list-repos *zbackup and correctly see my repo listed there. However, cloning the git repo fails. ----------------------- $ git clone aur:zbackup.git cloning 'zbackup' ... git-upload-pack: invalid path: zbackup fatal: Could not read from remote repository. Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists. ------------------------ Can anybody point me to what I'm doing wrong? Strangely enough, my package is not listed on the aur4 webfrontend. Is that the reason, I can't clone? Thanks in advance. Felix

[aur-general] [AUR4] remove commits in aur4. how?

Hi howto remove (no revert) bad commits and push the change to [aur4]? i want clean a bad commits with their history to clean history. or reset the repo i tired with - git reset HEAD --force - git push but say this message ! [rejected] master -> master (non-fast-forward) error: failed to push some refs to 'ssh+git://aur4.archlinux.org/libqgit2-git.git' hint: Updates were rejected because the tip of your current branch is behind hint: its remote counterpart. Integrate the remote changes (e.g. hint: 'git pull ...') before pushing again. hint: See the 'Note about fast-forwards' in 'git push --help' for details. sorry I'm completely noob with git, and my english doesn't help anything greetings

[aur-general] Dropping gtkhotkey from [community]

Hi, I am going to drop gtkhotkey from [community] to [unsupported]. It was included as a dependency of synapse, but no longer needed since synapse 0.2.99.1 and is not needed by anything else either. If there is no objection, I will do the move when the new synapse package moves out of [community-testing]. -- Regards, Felix Yan

[aur-general] Error submitting to aur4

Hi, I lately have adopted an aur package "google-authenticator-libpam-git". But if I try to add it to the new aur4 I get: > git-receive-pack: permission denied: nylocx > fatal: Could not read from remote repository. > > Please make sure you have the correct access rights > and the repository exists. I suspect that this is due to the reservation of packages for their old maintainer. Is it possible to transfer the ownership of the package to me in the new aur so I can push the package? Just tried the git filter-branch solution, which got rid of the SRCINFO error, however now i get a KeyError... I believe this may be related to the SSH public key, however I'm not sure how I got that wrong. I just copied what was in my .ssh/id_rsa.pub to the public key field in my AUR account. [aur-general] How to install wine packages the require drive_c system wide?

Hi, I am thinking of packaging some audio games. The problem is, they will require a sapi5 voice to work. I can create a package for that too, except I think it requires something like c:\System32.
