To clarify: provides=svp is correct; you just want to also do conflicts=svp to conflict against any package that also provides svp. Note that you need to explicitly declare this because by default PKGBUILDs only provide and conflict against their pkgname. -- Cheers, Aᴀʀᴏɴ
