The version in the repositories is the stable version. While the beta is out of date, it can still exist; someone might pick it up.

Merged to the v3 package.
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gclient-svn/ project(source code) moved ,renamed as http://src.chromium.org/svn/trunk/tools/depot_tools.
