find ${pkgdir}/.../ -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \; find ${pkgdir}/.../ -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \;

chmod -R u=rwX,go=rX $pkgdir The capital X will only set the execute bit on directories, and leave it untouched on files if it is already set :)
