the new version is breaking compatibility? i'm willing to update it if everything is fine as i'm not sure if i want to patch all applications that depend of it.
The new version is compatible with the older version of numpy. The Release Notes [1] says: This minor includes numerous bug fixes, as well as a few new features. It is backward compatible with 1.3.0 release. [1] http://projects.scipy.org/numpy/milestone/1.4.0 Thanks, ~punchagan
