Not a good idea, if there was a temporary problem with a mailserver it would result in unsolicited orphaning of packages.
Email doesn't bounce because of temporary issues, otherwise stuff like graylisting would be even more annoying than it already is.
Normal retry times are 3 to 5 days with 5 being the postfix (and probably other software) default. If a mail couldn't be delivered after that time the sending server will bounce it.
