No, it isn't; no script parses the Maintainer or Contributor tags since they are just comments and in quite a few cases have incorrect maintainers listed.
Well, the Maintainer and Contributor tags are not parsed yet, but the PKGBUILD is parsed, because the package name, the description, sources, etc. are read from the PKGBUILD by AUR. So this could also be done with the Maintainer and Contributor tags. Heiko
