Re: [aur-general] question about package naming conventions

I have the gnuserv package in the aur and it's named, amazingly enough, "gnuserv". I noticed, however, that most of the emacs-related packages in community have the form "emacs-whatever". So it would be easy enough to submit with the new name if someone would delete the old one for me. I haven't uploaded anything yet--I just tidied up the package according to suggestions from more knowledgeable guys at the forum. In this case I would use the replace= array for the second pkgbuild. AFAIK there's not really a way to rename an aur package. Put a comment on the old one directing people to use the new one, and maybe in a few weeks we can delete it.
