Since the request system changed at whole (requests possible from the webinterface; aur-requests ML) the sentence about the requests should be removed or altered to reflect the current system?
That has already been fixed in master, see commit 2cff0d3 (home: requests should be filed in the web interface, 2014-07-13) [1].
