What do you mean by "sort better"? What difference is there between "icon-theme-*" and "*-icon-theme"? AUR has search, so it's pretty much the same, and the same applies to pacman.
When you search something the output is usually in alphabetical order. Having all the icon packages with the same prefix helps to group them, just like the gtk themes. It's nothing big, I understand, but it's neater than now.
