I should look at scilab, the fact its problems are unsolvable makes me curious ;-) (and scilab saved my day a few weeks ago when I needed to run some matlab code). java-jdom doesn't build with OpenJDK neither (see FS#27030) and is needed by scilab (scilab->jeuclid-core->java-jdom). If you cannot solve these issues, consider to move everything to AUR.
