Hi all, This is farseerfc (Jiachen YANG). Seeing that gromit has initiated a removal discussion, I feel I should formally express my willingness to resign from the Package Maintainer role. I apologize for not addressing this sooner. First, I’d like to thank gromit giving me a reminder, and all staffs of the Arch Linux. It has been a pleasure working with you and contributing to the broader Arch Linux community. My resignation stems from being unable to dedicate sufficient time to these responsibilities. I became a TU in 2015 while working as an assistant professor at a university. Much has changed since then, I now have a daughter, and I’ve changed my job as an IT engineer at a media company in Tokyo. In recent years, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to balance my daytime job and family commitments, leaving my duty as a TU/PM unattended. I initially hoped that as my daughter grew older or as I adjusted to my job, I would regain time for packaging and AUR tasks. Unfortunately, this has proven more challenging than anticipated. I deeply value Arch Linux, and I enjoyed contributing to the community. The community deserves better, and I hope to be able to contribute again when my circumstances allow for meaningful involvement. Thank you all for your understanding. Best regards, farseerfc (Jiachen YANG)
