Hi,
uefivars-git https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/uefivars-git/ installs packages into /usr/sbin that is not recommended with the new pacman standard. I notified current maintainer 3 weeks ago and provided fiexed/cleaned PKGBUILD file. The maintainer never responded.
Please orphan it. I would like to become the package maintainer, fix the issues and keep supporting the package.
Did you send an email? People can have AUR notifications turned off. Protocol is to send an email and wait for 2 weeks before a package can be disowned.
No I did not send a personal email. I see that he has several packages that are out-of-date for several months already and though that he is inactive. OK I just sent him email. BTW his another package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/thinkalert/ is also broken (no package() function). There is solution in comments.
