Why? If upstream is dead and the package is bitrotten, then yes, there is no reason to keep the package. On the other hand, if the project is dead, but the package compiles and it works, I don't think it should be removed. There are security implications, but AUR packages are unsupported anyway, so IMHO a dead upstream is not a compelling reason to delete a package from AUR. Lorenzo
