Hi,
I've just spent a couple of minutes looking at the orphan packages on AUR and some of them should be deleted as their previous maintainers said they are useless but forgot to send the deletion request on the ML:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35080 qtcreator-cpphelper-plugin-git https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=39744 aften-svn https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=28626 blender-simphys https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19607 texi2html-cvs
This one is strange: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=33092 gold-cvs Heftig, why do you want to keep this package for reference?
Any news about the "Deletion request" button in the AUR website? By the time it is implemented, it would be cool to add a warning when people press the orphan button that they may want to send a mail to this ML for deletion.
Martin
Thanks for pointing these out. I've nuked the first 4. gold-cvs is a bit of an odd case.. it still has a valid upstream, but it's included as an optional linker as part of GNU ld. It's not invalid, but not it's necessary. dave
