Hey everybody, the next days (just after python-2.6 will hit extra) I will push a new release of openexr. I think OpenEXR should go into testing first, because it will break much more packages (I know it, because I'm using OpenEXR 1.6.1 and I'm running repo with it and I've to provide also a little bit hackish openexr 1.4 package). It will break at least imagemagick, hugin, blender and some more.

I allready fixed the following packages: (includeing KDE) blender cinepaint enblend-enfuse fyre imagemagick koffice vips yafray If you know of anything else, let me know. -- Pierre Schmitz Clemens-August-Straße 76 53115 Bonn Telefon 0228 9716608 Mobil 0160 95269831 Jabber pierre@jabber.archlinux.de WWW http://www.archlinux.de
Hi Pierre I'm releasing a new hugin this weekend. The current one is slightly broken and misses exiv2 and openexr dependencies. So once released, we will need a rebuild for testing as well. I'm pretty sure at least it takes openexr, I will have to double check though. As for Yafray, there is a new version available I haven't tested yet. It's a complete rewrite. So I'll have to check that one too. -T On Sat, 01 Nov 2008, Pierre Schmitz wrote:

If I were you, I would left yafray in extra. Problem of Yaf(a)Ray is that it cannot be used directly(there is possibility to use patched blender, but it doesn't work very well) from blender without using script.

I'm confused because yafray always worked with blender, well at least for a few years now and the release notes for yafray 0.1.0 say it works just fine with blender. So are there any incompatibilities I would have to be aware of? Thanks, -T

It works perfectly, but it's not using "native" blender UI (I mean setting renderer in render settings), you have to use python scripts (which is not so comfortable). Moreover, YafRay and Yaf(a)Ray can be used together.

OK, I'll rebuild hugin before moving new openexr to extra. (still waiting for kde-l10n tarballs) -- Pierre Schmitz Clemens-August-Straße 76 53115 Bonn Telefon 0228 9716608 Mobil 0160 95269831 Jabber pierre@jabber.archlinux.de WWW http://www.archlinux.de

I fear I cannot do this. autopano-sift-c is missing. So I'll just release my packages and you could rebuild it later. The current version of hugin does not depend on openexr either. -- Pierre Schmitz Clemens-August-Straße 76 53115 Bonn Telefon 0228 9716608 Mobil 0160 95269831 Jabber pierre@jabber.archlinux.de WWW http://www.archlinux.de
