The PKGBUILD is broken and the package needs a patch. The maintainer does not respond to comments or email. It's his only package, created in Aug 2007 and never updated. The PKGBUILD misses dependencies, uses the wrong license, installs into hardcoded ruby 1.8 directories, etc.

I'd like to adopt it, I have a working package ready which includes a patch for ruby 1.9.x.
