[aur-general] AUR request notify mails
Hi, in the past, when I filed an AUR request, I got a copy (via CC ?, not sure..) of the request send to my email account. Today I opened https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-requests/2020-August/043176.html but was not emailed. Has this behaviour changed? Is it intended? Went something wrong during the AUR migration to a new server? I'm just curious. ;) Michael

Not 100%, my provider (posteo.de) has a spam filter, but just deletes mails considered as spam and sends a notify to the sender that the mail was not delivered (If I remember right..). The users do not see it at all. Never had problems with it so far. Thunderbird also have not filtered it. So, since my address is in CC I think it's not an aurweb issue. ;) Thank you.

I hadn't noticed it before, but now that Michael mentions it, I've sent two requests over the past weeks myself and I haven't gotten a notification of either. In that time frame, I have received other AUR notifications. I run my own mail server and I'm 100% sure it hasn't been caught by the spam filter by accident as those are filed somewhere and I don't see them there. Best, Bert.

I can confirm that no request notifications come through, and my mail server sees no incoming connections for these mails at all. Maybe someone from the devops team might want to look into this. Georg

Same here, no mails for my requests for gnome-social-git and python-sysv-ipc. Kind Regards Bjoern

Same here. Today I was supposed to be cc'd in this request https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-requests/2020-August/043936.html But I never received the CC. I had to find out from the AUR web interface. Annoying, because now my reply can't be threaded properly.

There is a bug in the sending of notifications, a patch has been send to aur-dev: "[PATCH] Deliver emails to Cc in smtplib code path" Hopefully it will be reviewed and tested soon :)
