Hello, stable packages and packages built from VCS can easily coexist in AUR. Just orphan the git version if you do not want to maintain it. Just my tw cents. Best Regards Stefan

Hello Stefan, I agree with you, especially since the VCS version works just fine now. I'm only following the request of the developer. In any case I don't intend to drop from maintainer so please leave them being for now. Regards, Leonidas
Hello: simon [1] has been at version 0.4 for some time, and has been flagged as such since 2012-12-30. The maintainer doesn't seem to be responsive to comments, and an orphan request has been in the comments since 2013-03-01. Could this be orphaned so that another maintainer could pick it up? Did you email the maintainer directly? The common approach is to email maintainer, give him two weeks for response and then orphan the package.
I have now emailed the maintainer directly, and will update this thread if they do not respond in two weeks' time. On 2013-05-03 07:32, Lukas Jirkovsky wrote:

Yep. The maintainer has an @aur.archlinux.org address listed which is obviously bogus. Can we, please, go ahead with this request? Thanks, =-Jameson
