[aur-general] qtquickcontrols-git
Just received a notice from AUR that Barthalion delete qtquickcontrols-git. The package is needed by the hawaii packages and it was meant to complete the qt from git packages series maintained by Andrea Scarpino. The real problem here is that we have two sets of packages for Qt 5 from git (qt5-*-git and qt*-git), I'd keep the qt*-git made by Andrea Scarpino and the few packages (such as qtquickcontrols-git) I made myself. I'm now subscribed to the list so I'll be able to quickly respond to issues like this. -- Out of the box experience http://www.maui-project.org/
One of the issues with Scarpino's packages is that they install in
/opt, which is fine by itself but means they cannot replace the
regular qt5 packages (I use the qt5-* packages I adopted to replace
the community ones).
On naming, I don't know. The official names are, eg.
"qtquickcontrols", and those are part of qt-project.org (official qt
module). I like qt5-quickcontrols-*, but it probably makes more sense
to go with qt5-qtquickcontrols-*. Simply qtquickcontrols-* is a bad
choice imho.

That's exactly why I merged it into qt5-* counterpart. -- Bartłomiej Piotrowski http://bpiotrowski.pl/

OK

In order to fullfill both use cases we should have two packages set then. I'll ask Andrea to rename the qt*-git packages to qt5-qt*-git. -- Out of the box experience http://www.maui-project.org/

Please don't. As I said earlier, it would be better if his packages were differently named due to installing to /opt.
