[aur-general] Package removal from [community]
Hi, while going through the python rebuild, I came across a few packages which could be removal candidates: Dead sources: driconf openlh-client openlh-core openlh-server python-geotypes (could be temporary, see http://initd.org/) python-psycopg1 (could be temporary, see http://initd.org/) subdl tango-generator Broken builds: canorus gimpshop libdesktop-agnostic (awn-extras-applets depends on this) python-scipy Maybe somebody could take a look at fixing canorus/libdesktop-agnostic/python- scipy builds. Any opinions on removal of all other packages? schuay

The problem with scipy is with C/C++ headers, see http://projects.scipy.org/scipy/ticket/1180 -- Rémy.

Thanks, built python-scipy successfully using the patch from your link.

gimpshop
As we discussed on IRC the other day, this should be dropped. It was released over fours years ago and it's based on a very old GIMP version. I have already emailed Sergej on Sep 17 asking him to drop it, but haven't received a reply yet.

I rebuilt them for python2 last night. I guess we can keep them now until the next time they need to be rebuilt/fixed. At that point in time, we could reconsider removing them if their website is still not up.

This one has Vala issues: it seems they were fixed in the "various-fixes" repository https://code.launchpad.net/~awn-core/libdesktop-agnostic/various-fixes Could you regenerate the patch from there ? -- Rémy

I've generated it and pasted it here : http://paste.xinu.at/dAr/plain but it will not build unless you disable GObjectIntrospection. -- Rémy.

that may change if you use g-i 0.9.6 which is in gnome-unstable right now -- Ionuț
