[aur-general] Request for Orphaning Csound-doc
Hello, I submitted a request about 1.5 weeks ago for the AUR package csound-doc. Speps, the current maintainer, seems to have gone missing as of late. Would anyone kindly orphan the package so that I may take over? I've had a package sitting, ready to go for a while now. Thank you for the help.
I'm no TU, but as far as I am aware, there's a 'Gentlemen's Agreement' that the waiting period for this sort of situation is two weeks. -- David Phillips GPG Key 0x7BF3D17D0884BF5B Fingerprint 2426 235A 7831 AA2F 56AF 4BC0 7BF3 D17D 0884 BF5B

Not only that, but speps is a TU, so that complicates things a bit.

Hmm. His activity does seem sporadic. A couple of requests for disownment of some of his packages came through in March and April this year, with some comments being made on the list about the state of his packages back in August. Perhaps he is struggling to keep on top of things. Nevertheless, the two week period would apply. -- David Phillips GPG Key 0x7BF3D17D0884BF5B Fingerprint 2426 235A 7831 AA2F 56AF 4BC0 7BF3 D17D 0884 BF5B

Apologies, I did not mean to step on anyone's toes - All of the Csound packages have been pretty out of date and there's been no response from Speps (I sent him an email one month ago today). Therefore, he's been slowly disowned from Csound packages. This was just the last of them and the process was taking a while. So, technically, it has been over two weeks, just not for this particular package. :)
