[aur-general] Package maintenance
Hi, The issue I've got at the moment is in regards to a poorly packaged package that is also providing files made by other packages? The one in question I've also suggested the fixes to the maintainer, and requested it be orphaned when it was not updated for several months. Within a day the maintainer bumped the version up but didn't fix any other issues. I'm not fussed about being the maintainer or not, I just want the packages that I use to work correctly. Might help if you actually name the package in question. -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 3A9D0BB5
Sure, it was the google-cloud-sdk. It includes all of the appengine SDKs as well, which are already in google-appengine-* packages, making it several hundred MB instead of 21MB, and it doesn't link a single binary to /usr/bin, so you may as well have just untar'd the source in /opt. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-cloud-sdk/ Regards, Justin Dray E: justin@dray.be M: 0433348284 On Wed, Aug 6, 2014 at 10:00 PM, Johannes Löthberg <johannes@kyriasis.com> wrote:
