Request to adopt unlisted AUR packages
Hello, I would like to adopt the currently unlisted packages `google-gemini-nativefier` and `anthropic-claude-nativefier`. They were maintained by amaxcz until few weeks ago, `openai-chatgpt-nativefier` still is. I had used those packages for quite a long time, and recently noticed that they had vanished from the AUR, only the repositories remained. I already modified the PKGBUILDs to my liking. Not sure if this is the right place to go to, but I couldn't find any information on what to do in such a situation from the Arch Wiki. My username is damian101 on the AUR as well. Kind regards damian101
Hi Damian

Those package aren't vanished alone but they were removed [1] [2] for being a mere shortcut with a nativefier browser around. Please don't resume them again. If you kind about the navivefier version of such webpages document the process in the wiki so whoever is interested could make a nativefier version of their preferred website, not useless empty boxes packages which act as bookmarks only. Please keep the AUR clean, there's no need to upload anything you might invent, AUR packages must be useful for multiple people. Thank you for comprehension [1] https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-requests@lists.archlinux.org/m... Hi everyone,
Those package aren't vanished alone but they were removed [1] [2] for being a mere shortcut with a nativefier browser around. Please don't resume them again.
on further note, nativefier is archived [1]. Instead, browsers can install a website as a PWA, so it appears like a native app with its own window. There is PWAsForFirefox [2] to do this on Firefox. Chromium-based browsers can do this natively (three-dot menu -> Cast, save and share -> Install page as app).
