[aur-general] Deletion/Rename request: pebble-sdk{-beta}
Hi, I'm the current maintainer of the pebble-sdk-beta[1] package. This now got final, so it should be renamed to pebble-sdk, replacing the current package[2] which doesn't build anymore. It doesn't build anymore since end of November, the beta got final on February 3rd. I mailed the maintainer (gianguido) on January 30th and never got an answer, so I'd like to overtake it, as I updated the -beta package to the final already. Not sure what's the best thing to do there -- delete -sdk and rename -sdk-beta to -sdk? Well, you sure know. If you answer, please CC me, because I do not receive mails sent to the list. I don't have comments on your actual questions but I do have one of my own: [2] claims a license of GPLv3 and [1] claims MIT. I can't find license information in the SDK tar balls but I do find binaries without corresponding sources. What's the deal here?

I went as far as looking in the github repository and I'm guessing the sdk-beta assumed MIT based on this[1] where it says all examples are released under MIT License. [1]https://github.com/pebble/pebble-sdk-examples Taylor Lookabaugh

Yeah, this is just a best guess based on the examples license, and tools/LICENSE which also says MIT. Florian -- () ascii ribbon campaign - stop html mail www.asciiribbon.org /\ www.the-compiler.org | I love long mails http://email.is-not-s.ms/ Really?? What a coincidence, I'm shallow too!!

As far as I can tell, e.g., the PebbleKit-Android directory has source code but no license and the Pebble directory (for developing watch faces?) contains a compiled libpebble.a archive with no source code and no license. Daniel

Bump? This is still not resolved - pebble-sdk still doesn't build, and still no answer from the maintainer. I also sent a mail to the pebble guys asking what I should add as license. Sorry about the delay. I've merged pebble-sdk-beta into pebble-sdk and disowned pebble-sdk so you can adopt it. Cheers, -- Maxime
