[aur-general] Orphaning request and inactive TUs
Hi, could someone orphan the pkg "libclaw"? The user "Nicoco" seems to be inactive. I see that many packages in community maintained by gcarrier are outdated (jre, all virtualbox-ose packages) from a long time. Same situation for Romashka, some of his packages have not been updated since 2007. Could some TUs do something for this situation? Maybe moving them in unsupported. Thank you in advance, Babets.

Same situation for Romashka, some of his packages have not been updated since 2007. Could some TUs do something for this situation? Maybe moving them in unsupported. I know gcarrier is more busy (I think Romanshka too), some TU could update they. Anyway, I'm looking the list and I'll update KDE-related packages or !(Gnome-related).
For packages you think should moved to unsupported simply ask here in ML and we will decide about those packages. Regards -- Andrea `BaSh` Scarpino Arch Linux Developer

Thank you Bash. Can you orphan all four Nicoco package? I saw that a couple of them need an update and some users want an updated version. I hope someone can update the other ones (at least the most popular like virtulbox-ose jre nautilus-open-terminal...) that you can't update. I asked for orphaning because it's a long time since they updated them, if you remember i asked you, Bash, to update rawstudio a couple of time via forum and i don't want to do it every time a new version come out :)
For packages you think should moved to unsupported simply ask here in ML and we will decide about those packages.
I hope that most populars packages will be updated and will remain in community but (maybe) for the lowest populars it's better if you move them to unsupported. What do you think? Babets

He gave a status update recently (maybe on the internal dev list). My summary from a vague memory... he is hoping to be more active soon. Allan
Well Romashka resigned time ago.. [1] (almost a year). So in theory his packages [2] are available to any TU, so new TUs can adopt his packages ;). I wonder, what about other Inactive TU/Devs like codemac or pizzapunk ? I don't mention them with the intention to flame, just to know where are them? maybe hidding with Waldo? ;) Cheers!
