Re: [PRQ#63544] Orphan Request for visual-paradigm-community
This package of mine was requested to be orphaned and then the same user immediately approved their own request. I would've liked some time to react. The same user requested (and approved) my package genimage-git to be orphaned, which was wrongly flagged out of date (it is a VCS) package. On 2024-09-04 15:01, notify@aur.archlinux.org wrote:

Hi
This package of mine was requested to be orphaned and then the same user immediately approved their own request.
I would've liked some time to react.
The same user requested (and approved) my package genimage-git to be orphaned, which was wrongly flagged out of date (it is a VCS) package.
When a package is out of date since long time (I believe after 90 days) and someone asks for making it orphan, the request is accepted automatically because is meant the package is not maintained. Regards -- Muflone
Ah I see, that clears it up for me. Thanks for replying On 2024-09-04 16:52, Muflone wrote:

180 days actually [1] which should be plenty of time for a maintainer to react. An unfortunate reality is that invalid flags happen, and it can be a hassle to keep unflagging. If you get harassed like that, please do reach out to this mailing list. Bert. [1]: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/aurweb/-/blob/master/conf/config.defa...
