[aur-general] More trolling
Hi,
The real Allan just removed the account. I'm now removing all his comments.
Lukas, is there an option to remove an account and all the comments made by that account?

Hi, The troll hit my account as well. The only lasting damage is a comment on the package: yaourt-gui-manjaro

Is somebody able to use any, your or mine account to write this terrible comments? I suspect the origin of those comments is somebody living in one of the few nations where homophobia still is "normal". IOW it more likely is a person or they are persons from eastern nations, than from western nations. -- IMO this is one of the oddest statements ever: "Linux has never been about ‘choice’ or ‘freedom’ and those myths should just die out. Heh, cute. Why you use it is irrelevant though, because that isn’t the reason for Linuxs’ existance whether you want it or not. -- Sincerely, Johannes Löthberg PGP Key ID: 0x50FB9B273A9D0BB5 https://theos.kyriasis.com/~kyrias/

The name of that nation is The Internet, where ignorance is alive and well.

I live in one of the most eastern countries in the world, and racism, sexism etc isn't nearly as much of a problem as other parts of the world. We're ~175 degrees east :P But I know that's not what Bigby meant -- Four word witty remark

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Russia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Syria I'm nor aware about any Western nation with such laws, but there are additional Eastern nations. To guess that some body will be offended by this wording [1], is only possible by influence of the cultural environment. If you or I would say something like this in Germany, we would get laughed at. JFTR I don't have any problems with people from Eastern Nations, I'm not xenophobe. _But_ I care about human rights. A country's laws doesn't say whether its citizens are idiots. It only gives an impression about its leaders. Nice try tho for someone who blindly trusts his data. cheers! mar77i

Different cultural environments in general don't say something about the people being idiots or not idiots, but they explain why people are different. In e.g. Russia the homophobia issue isn't there because leaders made laws. The laws are more or less as liberal as in Western Europe. I don't depreciate other cultures for being different. However, if you're working with people from different cultural environments, as I sometimes do, e.g. with children from more than 40 nations, you can't do it without taking care about the existing differences. If Turkish and Kurd children or adolescents have a dispute and you are the responsible helper, you should be aware about the cultural differences. Ignoring differences doesn't change anything. Being aware about differences and speaking about it, does change the world. And just because in your world view people whoa are different are idiots, doesn't mean that I think that narrow-minded too. I guess your
Nice try tho for someone who [snip]
explains that you are not interested to communicate, you just want to show that you are that much better. A lot of "trolling", "flame-wars" wouldn't happen if people would accept different opinions, different cultures, without making assumptions. Feel free to continue, but I end this discussion now. Regards, Ralf
Do you always extend your thoughts this far? Did you ever lose yourself in your thoughts? What happens if you're not wrong enough so others could point it out to you? We both know you depend on your perception to understand what is going on and wrong. But stuff as derogatory as you quoted does not belong on this mailing list, and calling them eastern just tells its own story about your prejudices about people. cheers! mar77i

In my horrible opinion a *technical* *public* mailing list isn't the best place for such discussions. Thanks. -- Sincerely yours, Evgeniy Alekseev email: darkarcanis@mail.ru ICQ: 407-398-235 Jabber: arcanis@jabber.ru
