Spammers, regarding deletion requests for 'max' pkgbuild
Hi, since yesterday night a group of people coordinated to submit a high number (27 as of now) of requests for 'max' pkgbuild; mostly deletion requests plus 3 invalid merge ones, the reason is that the program is spyware and tracks users New user ThisIsAstral have uploaded 'max-patched' https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/max-patched which is just a duplicate of telegram and sumbitted the 3 merge requests with target neofetch, vk-messenger and max-patched A certain number of accounts have been created for the occasion and are https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Snowy-Fluffy https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Chonsoku https://aur.archlinux.org/account/wqttzicue https://aur.archlinux.org/account/flaemer https://aur.archlinux.org/account/sqlerrorthing https://aur.archlinux.org/account/ThisIsAstral https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Sapo https://aur.archlinux.org/account/prgcadd https://aur.archlinux.org/account/HighError https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Solanadevvv https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Nerso_Onato https://aur.archlinux.org/account/prgcadd https://aur.archlinux.org/account/g1mn_tw1cha https://aur.archlinux.org/account/dihlum https://aur.archlinux.org/account/kissanisi https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Lannibu have been deleted in the meantime
For context, MAX is a Russian state-mandated clone/fork of Telegram.[1][2] I think one of the advertized superiorities was reception in parking lots or something, hence the comments meming over parking lots. Thus, I suspect that this is misguided grassroots action from Russian users instead of a coordinated effort. [1] https://www.reuters.com/technology/russia-orders-state-backed-max-messenger-...
